Saddam is to hear charges in an Iraqi Court...

I have questions:

Will the trial be a sham?
Is the evidence against Saddam useful enough and water tight enough?

Also with a track record as foul and heinous as his, what kind of justice can be adequate for
Saddam? Apparently the death penalty currently under suspension in Iraq, may be recalled for the trail of Saddam.

Why were the Americans so reluctant to hand him over? Perhaps because like children, they believe it is a case of 'Finders keepers'? Or perhaps like a Zoo, Saddam was America's great PR possession.

Justice..

I don't think Saddam should be executed. I believe that this would present to the World a message that violence can be resolved through violence. Instead I think Saddam should be imprisoned. He should then be interviewed by the families of his victims and those who survived. There should be a period of reconciliation, as in South Africa.
