Argh. When I was young, my mum used to say: ' You need to use your common sense'. Where does one get common sense?? I have none. Is common sense simply : the basic skills required to maintain and regulate life? Or is wider then that. Surely, it is constructed culturally. (See debates about IQ tests). Anyway, I would like to start an inquiry into the origins of Common sense. (So that I can get some).
