Life is for every day not just Christmas

Long live the end of the seasons greetings! I am almost through the most surreal part of the year. I hate to put the spanner in your machines, but this whole season is bullshit. I suppose you already know that. I hate seeing people who are normally miserable suddenly cheer up for no reason other then the fact society itself transforms into a garish happy bully. It gets everywhere, this bully. It makes you stops working (not that you were working hard anyway) and allows you to say 'i'll do it after Christmas'. What is the result? Well you come back to work and find you have the 'winter blues' because its been a terrible time of overspending, and you've got tons of work to catch up on. I say we stop this nonsense and learn to be a little bit happier everyday spread over the year, instead of having this annual emotional National Lobotomy. That way the net effect is that oxford street is crowded all year round, we don't all have to be automatons in January. If we take all the emotional excess of Christmas and New Years, and bottle it and we could have it daily it would be better then drugs.
